Forex Lens was built for aspiring and seasoned traders as an educational platform. It includes Live sessions, trade ideas, educational content and portfolio management tools. Built in Material UI using Figma and lots of testing and reiterating with live member feedback.
The platform considers multiple user types: administrators managing the content, the traders managing the trade ideas and most importantly the end user who gets to absorb the daily content.
A challenge was that Traders took a long time to settle into their accounts. Some also did not understand what features were necessary to set up to gain the most benefit from the product. The user was automatically entered into a setup process and dropped right away into the dashboard, very linear.
As a solution, I introduced a simple fix by adding a preliminary screen showing the two options. On each “complete” the user comes back to the “Just a Moment” screen until minimal non required settings are filled out. The result from the data gained from Firebase Analytics was for 28% more users to fill in all of the non-required settings and increased user retention.
